Voiceworx Kentisbeare arose from a small group of us chatting in the pub who thought it would be a good idea to form a village choir!
Who would have thought that eleven years on we could have done so much?
We could not have done this without the endless energy and ideas from Alan Boxer, Musical Director, and the talented support and involvement of Sue Wilson, Asst Musical Director.
We currently have an Action Group of 7 dedicated members led by our Chair Barbara Wood, alongside Alan Boxer and Heather Lamport our Treasurer, who help organise and co-ordinate events and activities, supported by specific people as needed.
Willing volunteers are always welcome - let us know your interests and how you would like to help or be involved.
There are many others to thank, especially Stuart Mc Fadzean who was Chair for 10 years, plus many others who over the years have helped with all sorts from projecting the music to arranging events, setting up for concerts and weekly rehearsals, refreshments, front of house, publicity, PR and Marketing, selling tickets, publicity, to providing uniforms, song sheets and travel arrangements!
And, not forgetting those we have also performed with including the Wyndham Singers, Bel Canto, Activ8, Cullompton community Choir aswell as other musicians and many other performers and groups over the years.
Too many to name – but we are eternally grateful for your energy and support.
We look forward to our second decade of singing with Voiceworx and all our supporters and musicians!
